II Encontro Rede Indústria, História, Património

Tomar | 16, 17 e 18 de Abril de 2015

A RIHP – Rede Indústria História e Património, constituída em Novembro de 2012, reúne unidades de investigação e outras entidades e investigadores interessados nos domínios genericamente sintetizados sob a designação Indústria, História, Património.

A RIHP constitui um espaço, aberto e plural, de reflexão e debate interdisciplinar e visa promover o desenvolvimento de actividades de instituições, organizações e indivíduos, portugueses e de outros países, que se interessam pela indústria enquanto realidade social global determinante na história do mundo contemporâneo, nomeadamente na sua relação com o desenvolvimento económico e social, compreendendo o património cultural imaterial e material (tecnologia e saber-fazer técnico, práticas sociais e culturais, infraestruturas, construções, equipamentos e objetos, sítios e paisagens) que lhe está associado.

A RIHP prossegue, entre outros, o propósito de promover e organizar encontros científicos destinados a apresentar e partilhar conhecimentos no domínio da História, Indústria e Património.

O II Encontro Indústria, História, Património realizar-se-á nos dias 16, 17 e 18 de Abril de 2015, em Tomar. Pretende-se que este Encontro internacional seja fórum de discussão aberto e pluridisciplinar, dedicado à apresentação de estudos no domínio da história da indústria enquanto realidade social global, compreendendo o património material e imaterial (tecnologia, saber-fazer técnico, práticas sociais e culturais, infraestruturas, construções, equipamentos e objectos, sítios e paisagens).

Através da realização deste Encontro, a RIHP associa-se às comemorações do Ano Europeu do Património Técnico e Industrial, que terão lugar em 2015.

Convidam-se todos os investigadores a participar neste Encontro, que procurará reflectir sobre a problemática da industrialização e das dinâmicas de articulação entre história, indústria e património, considerando o contexto político, económico, social, cultural e geográfico em que se inserem.

Neste Encontro de 2015, propõem-se as seguintes perspectivas temáticas:

. História da indústria;
. Arqueologia industrial;
. Indústria, industrialização e desindustrialização no período contemporâneo;
. Sociedade industrial. Agentes e actores;
. Património industrial;
. Museus de/em antigas fábricas e sítios industriais.

O Encontro reúne intervenções proferidas por conferencistas convidados e a apresentação de comunicações submetidas através de call for papers.

2nd Annual Meeting Industry, History, Heritage
Tomar | 16th, 17th and 18th 

The RIHP – Industry, History and Heritage network was formed in November 2012. RIHP brings together research units, organizations and researchers interested in the areas generally summarized as Industry, History, Heritage.

RIHP aims at being an interdisciplinary space of reflection and debate, committed to the promotion and development of activities from institutions, organizations and individuals, both from Portugal and abroad. RIHP is interested in studying the industry as a global social reality crucial to the understanding of the contemporary World’s history, in particular in its general relation with economic / social development, involving material and immaterial cultural heritage.

The RIHP network maintains, among other actions, the organization of scientific meetings aiming to promote and share knowledge in the history, industry and heritage domains.

The 2nd Annual meeting Industry, History, Heritage will be held on April 16th, 17th and 18th 2015, in Tomar, Portugal. This international meeting is intended to be an open and multidisciplinary discussion forum, dedicated to the presentation of studies on the topic of industry’s history understanding them as global social realities that include material and immaterial heritage (technology, technical know-how, social and cultural practices, infrastructures, constructions, equipment and objects, sites and landscapes).

With the 2nd Annual Meeting, RIHP joins the European Industrial and Technical Heritage Year 2015.

RIHP invites all researchers to take part in this second meeting, whose main goal is to reflect on the problematic of industrialization and the connections and dynamics between history, industry and heritage, considering the political, economic, social, cultural and geographic context that it comprises.
